Earrings, 5.5 × 2.5 cm, in layered silver filigree with dots, clouds, flowers and leaves drawn from Miao embroidery. Miao jewelry often borrows its forms from embroidery, batik and paper-cut, and this pair carries that heritage close to the face.
叠 Die means “layers”. The series stacks fine layers of woven filigree: two silver wires finer than a hair are twisted together, then woven strand by strand before welding, one of the most patient skills in Miao silversmithing. Made by hand by Miao/Hmong master silversmiths. 99% fine silver with 925 silver parts, matte white: fired, never plated. Designed in Paris.

Care
Most CUNZU pieces are made of 99% silver with our signature matte white finish. This matte surface is the natural state of pure silver after high-temperature firing. It is not a plating or coating.
As you wear it, the silver will gradually polish to a bright shine, or oxidise and darken. Both are natural. Pure silver oxidises slowly over time, and this cannot be avoided.
Store your pieces in a sealed bag or airtight space to slow oxidation. If the silver darkens, use a silver cleaning solution or polishing cream. Soak the piece in cleaning solution for one minute, rinse with clean water, then dry, ideally with a hair dryer. The silver will return to a bright finish.
